Grounds Maintenance
Having well-tended green spaces helps to engender a sense of pride among communities and shows that they are treated with the care they deserve.
Neat and professionally maintained green areas – whether they are the parks and gardens around historic buildings, libraries, offices, residential homes or school playing fields – make our communities happier and healthier places in which to live, work and learn.
Norse ensures that grounds and green spaces are kept in first-class condition – by combining the latest technology and the best materials with well-trained and motivated staff.
Operating from nine regional depots, Norse’s Grounds Division maintains a diverse range of horticultural facilities including: school playing fields, hospital grounds, cemeteries, housing and amenity sites.
In addition to the care and upkeep of these areas, our highly skilled gardeners and their managers are able to advise customers on opportunities to improve their gardens and grounds.
Our specialist Landscaping Development Team carries out a wide range of hard and soft landscaping for local authority customers, schools and the private sector. The team is also skilled in sports facility construction, such as new bowling greens and sports fields.
Our Grounds Advisors counsel on all aspects of grounds maintenance, site development and utilisation, and provide a tree inspection and advice service, co-ordinating tree maintenance work with arboricultural contractors and district/parish councils.
