Norse subsidiary takes over Devon schools catering

Devon Norse Ltd, a subsidiary of Norfolk-based Norse Commercial Services, recently took over responsibility for the provision of meals at 300 of Devon’s schools.
As of the start of the autumn term, the company is supplying approximately 15,000 meals a day to the county’s primary and special schools. The company is also running cash, cafeteria-style facilities at seven secondary schools across Devon.
Speaking about the ground-breaking 10-year joint venture agreement, Norse Sales Director Geoff Tucker said, “Devon Norse will be ensuring that the pupils are offered a balanced and varied range of meals, and catering for special dietary requirements. As with all our catering agreements, we are committed to using ingredients grown or sourced locally.”
In addition, Devon Norse will be providing civic and function catering for Devon County Council, and already supplies cleaning services to schools in the region, the county’s civic buildings and a number of local NHS sites.
Norse also services over 70 schools in North London through Enfield Norse, and more than 300 schools across Norfolk from the company’s head office in Norwich.
