New Norse Director Designate
January 2012

Norse Commercial Services has announced the appointment of Mark Emms as Commercial Director Designate.
He will be taking over responsibility for Norse’s catering operations when the current Commercial Director, Alison Allen, retires at the end of March 2012.
Norse’s Catering portfolio covers Norfolk primary schools, high schools, healthcare and a number of private sector clients.
Prior to his new role Mark had been with Norse for four and a half years, most recently as Project Manager with responsibility for managing the transfer of Norse Care from Norfolk County Council into the Norse Group.
Mark has also been involved in the creation of a number of Norse’s Local Authority Joint Venture Company partnerships.
“There are a number of challenges that Norse Catering faces in the current environment,” he commented, “including retaining and growing our customer base, the inflation of food prices and pressures on school catering budgets, all set against the need to deliver excellent, nutritionally balanced food and meet rising customer expectations and standards: challenges that I am looking forward to and that, with the strength and reputation of Norse, we can turn into exciting opportunities for the company.”
Announcing the appointment, Managing Director Peter Hawes said, “It was very reassuring that we had such an exceptionally strong list of internal candidates for this high profile role, a factor that bodes well for the future of the organisation and again demonstrates the talent we have within the company.” |
