Leisure Park recycles with Norse
December 2009

In May 2009 Norse took over the waste management at Woodland Leisure Park in North Norfolk.
Prior to the new contract, all waste from the centre had gone to landfill; now over 25 % of waste is collected in the sixteen, 1100litre recycling bins placed strategically around the park.
These bins collect Cardboard, paper, newspapers, magazines, plastic bottles, cans, food tins and empty aerosols.
Gary Baker, manager at Woodland Leisure commented, “Norse has helped us increase dramatically the amount of waste we recycle, helping us to meet our environmental goals by reducing landfill contribution.”
Norse operates two dustcart services to the site, with both crews made up of at least two men, ensuring all collections have a trained ‘banksman’ for added security in public areas.
The contract also covers road sweeping services and a 40 yard skip for non-recyclable waste. |
