NCS wins at local Business Awards
October 2008

NCS picked up the Community Impact award at the 2008 Eastern Daily Press Business Awards, for the support the company provides in terms of employability.
The Judges were particularly impressed with NCS’ partnership role in the innovative ‘Talent Together’ programme, aimed at supporting people who want to work but face disadvantages in getting jobs.
The company frequently has up to 50 disadvantaged work-experience placements including people with physical disabilities, the homeless, ex-offenders and people recovering from drug or alcohol abuse.
NCS Board member Tony Williams commented “Winning this award is recognition for the many staff involved in placement programmes and those who make a contribution through involvement in the Business in the Community Prohelp scheme.”
The judges looked for initiatives that are sustainable and clearly show the measurable impact that has been achieved. |
